Annual SIG Awards
ANNUAL AWARDS AT THE SIG EXPO
Each year, the SIG offers the following awards to student members who participate in the SIG Expo:

Excellence in Student Research Award: designed to recognize excellence among graduate student researchers and to aid in allaying costs associated with presenting at the convention. Graduate student SIG members who are presenting (as first-author) their research as part of the general ABCT program, or at the SIG Expo, are eligible.

Student Poster Award: recognizes excellence in research among student members who present at the annual SIG Exposition, and to aid in allaying costs associated with conference attendance.
**New SIG award introduced in 2022:

The Diversifying Behavioral Medicine and Integrated Primary Care Award is awarded to individuals with marginalized and minoritized identities who are interested in pursuing a clinical or research career in behavioral medicine or integrated primary care. In addition to a small monetary gift of $100, the winner of this award will (1) receive full coverage for membership to ABCT (if the individual is already an ABCT member, these funds will be used to decrease the cost of conference registration), and (2) assigned a BMED/IPC member mentor who shares their interests, with hopes that the mentor and the awardee can meet and network in-person at the conference.
ROTATING AWARDS
Each year, the SIG offers a variety of awards to members on a rotating basis, some of which come with a monetary component. These include:

Mentorship Award: given to an individual who has shown excellence in mentoring, as evidenced by providing exceptional guidance to students through leadership, advisement, and activities aimed at providing opportunities for professional development, networking and future growth in behavioral medicine and/or integrated primary care.

Early Career Professional Award: given to an early-career individual who has demonstrated outstanding achievements and contributions to their field.

Student Travel Award: given to a student to help defray the costs of the annual conference.
